On May 24, 2012, Friends will once again offer its popular Grand Lady tour, complete with educational speakers addressing the historic and natural features of our vital waterway. Mark Your Calendars, and Tell Your Kayaking Friends!
At 1 PM on Sunday, March 4, 2012, Doc Fletcher will be the featured speaker at the Nature Education Center. He’ll provide information about many sites for river kayaking in Michigan and his new book will be available. Seating is limited so call the Nature Education Center at 616/786-4847 to reserve your spot at this free event sponsored by Friends.

Silent Auction also on Sunday, March 4
Friends are holding a Silent Auction at the Nature Education Center in conjunction with the Doc Fletcher presentation. Wonderful items are being donated by local merchants and artists. View the items and enter your bids both before and after Doc Fletcher’s presentation. Bidding will close at 3 PM. Bring cash or your checkbook (sorry, no credit cards) to take home an auction treasure and to support future Friends' projects!
